DISPATCHER (FULL AND PART TIME)
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Dispatchers at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York. The Dispatcher coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services by accurately and promptly dispatching customer transportation requests. The role directs transport activities and transporters, monitors task availability and completion, and follows up on service and operational issues. Dispatchers may transport patients when necessary and serve as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments. Schedules include shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; days may vary, and rotating weekends are required. No prior experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, detail-oriented customer service.
- Apply basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
- Determine, explain, and develop dispatcher logic and transporter activities.
- Transport patients when necessary.
- Direct transport function activities and transporters, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Monitor procedures for task availability and completion, and follow up on service and operational issues.
- Ensure requests are handled efficiently and promptly according to departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments.
- Serve as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
- Assign, collect, and distribute pagers; monitor daily sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Promote positive service relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of transport requests and maximize staff productivity.
- Resolve complaints involving patients, visitors, staff, or employees and recommend solutions for recurring issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
