About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Integrated Services Manager, the Dispatcher coordinates service requests for Support Services. The role receives telephone requests and determines appropriate actions based on knowledge of Support Services resources and scope of service. The Dispatcher assigns work to Support Services personnel through a work order system and coordinates patient transports by monitoring requests and directing transporters. The position provides internal and external telecommunications services, including 711 emergency calls for both Mission Hospital campuses. It also coordinates emergency codes and alerts with relevant departments and monitors and responds to clinical and non-clinical alarm systems. The role is part of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center and supports Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care approach.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in customer service, dispatching, or operator functions.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree.
- 1 year of hospital-related PBX or call center experience.
