DISPATCHER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Dispatcher at Hackensack Meridian Health–JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. The Dispatcher coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services by accurately and promptly dispatching and managing customer transportation requests. The role directs transport activities, monitors task completion, and helps ensure requests are handled according to departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments. The Dispatcher also serves as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments, promotes positive customer service relationships, resolves service complaints, and transports patients when necessary. No prior experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, detailed customer service.
- Apply knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
- Determine, explain, and develop dispatcher logic and transporter activities.
- Transport patients when necessary.
- Direct transport activities and transporters to ensure tasks are completed promptly.
- Monitor procedures for task availability and completion, and follow up on service and operational issues.
- Ensure transportation requests are addressed efficiently and on time according to departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments.
- Serve as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
- Assign, collect, and distribute pagers; monitor daily sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Promote positive customer service relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely dispatch of transport requests and maximize staff productivity.
- Resolve complaints involving patients, visitors, staff, or employees and recommend solutions for recurring issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
