About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Dispatcher at Texas Health Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas. The Dispatcher coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services through timely, accurate dispatch and management of customer transportation requests. The role supports patient transportation operations and works with patients, families, visitors, staff, transporters, and other departments. The position is scheduled for days that may vary, from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with rotating weekends required. No prior experience is required, and training is available. The fixed pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Provide detailed, one-on-one customer service to customers.
- Apply knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
- Determine, explain, and develop dispatcher logic and transporter activities.
- Transport patients when necessary.
- Direct transport operations and transporter activity to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Monitor procedures for task availability and completion, and follow up on service and operational issues.
- Ensure requests are handled efficiently and on time according to departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments.
- Serve as a liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
- Assign, collect, and distribute pagers.
- Monitor daily sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Develop and promote positive customer service relationships with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
- Ensure patient transport requests are dispatched accurately and on time.
- Ensure maximum staff productivity.
- Resolve complaints from patients, visitors, staff, or employees.
- Recommend solutions for ongoing or recurring issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
