About The Position

The Security Dispatcher efficiently disseminates information to Security Staff and/or necessary departments. The Communication Specialist promptly answers, executes, and is responsible for all calls received by two-way radio or telephone. The position is full-time on the night shift, with a Sunday–Saturday schedule that varies and hours of 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m. The role is based in Security at Main Campus Park Place South.

Requirements

• High school diploma, graduate, or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to use a multiline telephone and learn functions such as paging and transferring calls.
• Ability to become familiar with the CCTV system, Toye Access Control Computer, Simplex Panic Alarm system, digital receiver for burglar alarms, and two-way radio.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently disseminate information to Security Staff and/or necessary departments.
• Promptly answer and execute calls received by two-way radio or telephone, and take responsibility for those calls.
