About The Position

The Security Dispatcher works in the Security department at Via Christi, St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. The role coordinates emergency responses by triaging incoming calls and alarms and rapidly dispatching security teams. It supports hospital safety through active surveillance of campus facilities, identifying and mitigating potential risks, communicating critical information between staff and leadership, and maintaining accurate digital records of security events and surveillance footage. The schedule is rotating PRN.

Requirements

• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming calls and alarms and coordinate emergency responses by dispatching security teams where needed.
• Actively surveil campus facilities to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Serve as a central communication link between staff and leadership during high-pressure situations.
• Maintain accurate digital records of security events and surveillance footage to support incident resolution and hospital safety.
