About The Position

The City of Chanute is accepting applications for a full-time Dispatcher I. The position performs dispatch duties under the general supervision of the Chanute 911 Communications Director. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure. Starting wage is $20.24 per hour, increasing to $21.28 per hour after six months and $22.42 per hour after one year, with a satisfactory performance evaluation required at each step.
