About The Position
Martin Transportation Systems is seeking a Dispatcher/Driver Manager for its Bridgeton, Missouri dispatch operations. The position dispatches and manages CDL-A drivers on dedicated, just-in-time round-trip loads while working to meet revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment safely. It involves coordinating truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants and other locations, supporting driver compliance with hours-of-service regulations and company policy, and working with dispatch staff, customer service, and customers. The role uses satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software in a fast-paced work environment. The opening is listed as accepting applications for a future opening. Responsibilities
- Oversee, coordinate, dispatch, and manage CDL-A drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants or other locations.
- Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance with hours-of-service regulations and company policy.
- Interface with central dispatch staff, customer service, and customers.
- Promote driver safety and safe workplace performance.
- Interface with and update computer trucking systems.
- Evaluate driver performance and compliance.
- Safely meet revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment.
