About The Position

The Dispatch System Implementation Specialist leads the transition from pilot-centric dispatching, load planning, and performance analysis to a centralized dispatch platform. The role coordinates flight planning, load and weight-and-balance planning, runway analysis, aircraft performance planning, and a Part 121-style planning and release workflow with flight crew concurrence. The specialist leads requirements gathering, implementation, testing, training, adoption, and ongoing system reliability and continuous improvement. Assigned flight-following duties support this work and are performed under current approved manuals, company-delegated authority, and applicable operating rules. The role works with Flight Operations, the SOC, flightcrews, Maintenance Control, affected departments, vendors, and IT to design workflows, configure systems, ensure data quality, test operational scenarios, prepare procedures and training, and coordinate readiness and cutover. After launch, the specialist provides system administration and user support, triages issues, monitors data integrity and workflow effectiveness, and supports controlled changes. For assigned flight-following coverage, the specialist monitors flight progress and aircraft/crewmember flow, maintains central communications, conveys safety information, and coordinates irregular operations with relevant personnel. The position is based at Contour Aviation Headquarters in Smyrna, Tennessee. It is full-time, with flexible schedules that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts according to operational needs. The role may require limited travel and work in both a standard office and active operational settings.
