About The Position

Delaware Electric Cooperative is hiring a full-time System Dispatch Coordinator in Greenwood, Delaware. The position works midnight to 10:00 A.M., four 10-hour shifts on a rotating two-week schedule. The coordinator serves as a communication link between the Cooperative and its member-owners, responds to member concerns, monitors operational equipment and outage reports, and coordinates with field crews to support safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least five years of experience in customer service or a related utility company.
Working knowledge of typing and filing concepts.
Software systems, telephone, radio, communication, and computer skills.
Valid driver's license recognized by the State of Delaware.

Nice To Haves

Experience locating and detecting underground equipment.
Understanding of electrical operations, materials, equipment, and the work responsibilities of Delaware Electric Cooperative.

Responsibilities

Communicate between the Cooperative and its member-owners.
Respond to member-owner complaints and concerns.
Monitor operational equipment during each shift.
Communicate with personnel about outages reported by phone and through outage-monitoring systems and alarm devices.
Monitor radio communications to support crew safety and an efficient flow of work.
Prioritize and assign jobs to crews as required.
Monitor SCADA and Load Management systems and report alarms to the appropriate personnel.
Operate two-way radios, read system maps and diagrams, and communicate information to field personnel.
