About The Position

The Dishwasher efficiently cleans dishes and other wares to standard and contributes to general galley operations, including receiving, storing, and preparing provisions. The role involves providing hospitality to coworkers and guests, maintaining clean and orderly equipment and food-preparation areas, and handling food and supplies safely. The work may be strenuous and warm, requires extended periods standing and lifting and moving heavy items, and includes availability for nights, weekends, and major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to coworkers and guests.
• Operate the dish machine and ensure dishes are cleaned, organized, and stored appropriately.
• Ensure the dishwasher is in proper working order, routinely clean equipment, and refill chemicals as needed.
• Assist with routine galley cleaning, including cleaning equipment and implements, sanitizing food-preparation surfaces, and mopping floors.
• Stock food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and buffets or food stations.
• Receive and store food and supplies using proper food-handling techniques, including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable products.
• Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
