Dishwasher (Full Time)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Dishwasher at Spartanburg Medical Center & Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The role maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The schedule is five days per week, with days and hours varying and 8- or 12-hour shifts; rotating weekends are required. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, but training is available. Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or use the assigned dishwashing machine.
- Ensure dishes and other items are completely clean and sanitized.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polish silver using the equipment and procedures assigned, such as a burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
