About The Position

The Dishwasher maintains an immaculate and efficient kitchen by cleaning dishware, china, crystal, silver, pots, and pans; stocking cleaning products; emptying trash bins and replacing garbage bags; and assisting with buffet breakdown and cleanliness. The role is hourly and non-exempt and reports to the Café Sous Chef. The position requires morning availability Monday through Friday and is located at CityGate Grille Café. Compensation is $17.00–$19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and education. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A $250 signing bonus is offered, subject to a 90-day waiting period. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be available in the morning, Monday through Friday.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
Must maintain a neat and clean appearance and uniform.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a dishwasher.
Illinois food handlers certificate.

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and dry dishes according to health department guidelines.
Set up the station and ensure the work area operates efficiently.
Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
Support training of other staff members as needed.
Inform the supervisor when kitchen equipment or machinery is not working properly.
Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
Follow all CityGate Grille Café departmental policies and procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned.
