About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring temporary Dishwashers at Barnes Jewish Medical Center in Saint Peters, Missouri. The Dishwasher maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. The position follows established safety, cleanliness, sanitation, temperature, and chemical-level standards. The schedule is temporary, with days and hours that may vary across first and second shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays. The role may offer a temporary-to-permanent schedule. Previous dishwashing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or load them into racks or a dishwashing machine, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
- Polish silver using the assigned equipment and procedures, such as a burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
- Comply with established safety procedures.
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
- Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Help load and unload supplies and product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
