About The Position

The Dishwasher ("Lavaplatos") cleans back-of-house Food & Beverage facilities and equipment at The Lodge at Torrey Pines to maintain sanitation standards established by the Health Department and hotel. The role focuses on keeping kitchen areas, equipment, dishes, and work surfaces clean and supporting restaurant operations by stocking cook lines with clean plates. The position is full-time, with day/evening shifts, and requires weekend and holiday availability. The hourly pay range is $25.45–$25.45.

Requirements

At least 3–12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire; the company provides the training at its expense.
Ability to maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
Ability to stand, kneel, and squat for prolonged periods, including an entire shift, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a similar position at a hotel or similar business entity is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain an environment as free of contamination as possible to protect the health and welfare of guests and associates.
Clean floors and walls in kitchens and back-of-house Food & Beverage areas.
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces.
Place soiled dishes, pots, and pans in the dishwashing area.
Wash and wipe ovens and stovetops.
Stock cook lines with clean plates.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
