About The Position

A Kolter Hospitality Dishwasher supports the kitchen team by keeping the kitchen clean, orderly, and sanitized. The position is responsible for cleaning dishes, flatware, and related equipment, as well as maintaining kitchen areas and equipment in accordance with applicable health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. The dishwasher operates and maintains the dish machine, organizes clean items, handles chemicals properly, and provides kitchen support such as setting up hot boxes, assisting with plate-up, and bussing when needed. The role requires a positive, helpful approach in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to personalized guest service and the success of the company. The position is full-time at Hilton Bayfront St. Pete in St. Petersburg, Florida. Weekend availability is required. Pre-employment drug testing and a background check are required. Requirements

Able to work weekends.
Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours.
Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Must frequently immerse hands in water.
Pre-employment drug test and background check required.

Responsibilities

Operate the dish machine to clean and sanitize china, glassware, silver, pots, pans, silverware, and other items according to proper cleaning and product standards.
Clean and maintain kitchen floors and mats during and at the end of shifts.
Store and organize glassware, plates, flatware, and kitchen equipment in appropriate racks.
Clean walls and kitchen equipment and empty trash cans in a timely manner.
Use, store, and label chemicals correctly.
Set up hot boxes and assist with plate-up when needed.
Assist with bussing when necessary.
Report items in need of repair and report faulty or broken equipment immediately.
Keep work areas safe, clean, and orderly while following company, local, and state health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Handle and solve workplace problems effectively and innovatively.
Remain positive and helpful in a fast-paced environment.
Provide personalized guest service and support the success and growth of the company.
