About The Position

The Dishwasher cleans dishes and kitchenware in a food service environment to ensure a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. The role includes sorting and prioritizing items, hand-washing items that are too large or delicate for machine washing, operating an industrial dishwasher, and placing clean items to dry. The Dishwasher also cleans and sanitizes kitchenware according to health and safety standards, maintains kitchen and dish-pit cleanliness, and removes trash as needed.

This position works in a fast-paced kitchen environment and requires flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Candidates must pass background and drug screening under Kaw Nation Gaming Commission regulations to obtain a gaming license; Medical Marijuana cards are accepted. Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and frequent stooping, reaching, bending, and carrying in a hot and wet environment. The employee must follow uniform requirements, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and comply with applicable state, federal, and tribal laws, regulations, and requirements. Duties may extend beyond the listed responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Pass background and drug screening per Kaw Nation Gaming Commission regulations to obtain a gaming license; Medical Marijuana cards are accepted.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to frequently stoop, reach, bend, and carry in a hot and wet environment.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize dishwashing loads based on the type of items.
• Unload dishes and cutlery, sort them by category, and load them into trays for the industrial dishwasher.
• Hand-wash dishes, pots, pans, and items that are too large or delicate for machine washing.
• Place washed items to dry and ensure a steady supply of clean kitchenware for food and beverage service.
• Clean and sanitize dishware and kitchenware according to health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas, including refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, floors, and the dish pit.
• Assist with removing trash and taking garbage to the dumpster as needed.
• Monitor dishwashing loads and adjust workflow and priorities to meet staff demands efficiently.
• Manage multiple tasks and communicate clearly with team members to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Adhere to uniform requirements and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing KGI.
• Follow applicable state, federal, and tribal laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
