About The Position

Larksfield Place Retirement Communities is hiring a part-time Dishwasher in Wichita, Kansas. The Dishwasher supports the Dining Services team by keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently so the team can provide meals and service to residents. The role offers starting pay of $15.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience, a consistent Saturday-through-Tuesday schedule, and opportunities to develop kitchen skills. Available shifts are 12:00 PM–8:00 PM or 3:00 PM–8:30 PM. Weekend availability is required, and candidates must be able to work the designated schedule, including holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain sanitation standards, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry kitchen supplies, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Dependable attendance and availability to work the designated Saturday-through-Tuesday schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet applicable vaccination and TB screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous dishwashing, kitchen, or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Hand-wash pots, pans, and other items that require special cleaning.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dishwashing and storage areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, floors, and work areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash and kitchen waste throughout the shift.
• Assist with routine and end-of-shift cleaning so the kitchen is prepared for the next service.
• Communicate equipment issues, supply needs, and safety concerns to Dining Services leadership.
• Work collaboratively with cooks, servers, and other team members to support dining operations.
• Perform additional kitchen support duties as needed.
