About The Position

The Dishwasher, also known as a Kitchen Helper, cleans dishes in a food service environment to ensure that clean dishes, glasses, and utensils are available for the kitchen and restaurant, particularly during peak operating hours. The role is predominantly based in a kitchen, with the possibility of working in other indoor or outdoor areas of the park as needed. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to use dishwashing equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
• Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work both as part of a team and independently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on one's feet for most of the workday.
• Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, and reach above the shoulders.
• Ability to tolerate constant exposure to heat, steam, hot water, and humidity.
• Ability to place dishes, pans, utensils, and plates on both low and high shelves.
• Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to use a step ladder safely and properly.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• No education requirements; previous work experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash kitchenware, including utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, and food storage containers.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and hand-wash dishes when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Place clean dishes and equipment in designated storage areas.
• Sort and remove kitchen and dining-room trash; rinse garbage cans before replacing liners.
• Check cookware and dishes for condition and safety hazards such as chips or cracks.
• Assist kitchen and wait staff with sweeping and mopping floors during each shift.
• Clean work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
• Clear tables after guests have finished their meals.
• Assist with loading and unloading food-truck deliveries.
• Stock and replenish kitchen and dining-room supplies.
• Handle, label, stock, and store products, including chemicals and cleaning supplies, properly.
• Report safety, hygiene, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Promptly notify the security team or manager about team-member or guest injuries and emergencies.
• Perform other duties assigned by leadership.
