About The Position
The Dishwasher helps create memorable guest experiences by keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and supporting smooth food service operations. The role involves cleaning serviceware, cookware, and kitchen equipment; maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization; monitoring supplies; and preparing clean serviceware for banquets and functions. The Dishwasher also supports team performance by training new stewards and follows applicable health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations. Full availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
Requirements
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to handle a high volume of dishes efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and moving heavy kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Dependable team player able to work effectively with hotel staff.
- Demonstrates hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, accountability, urgency, and discipline.
Responsibilities
- Clean chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils; scrub pots and pans; and burnish silver.
- Monitor stock levels and keep supplies and equipment well stocked and organized.
- Perform kitchen cleaning tasks, including mopping and trash removal.
- Prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions.
- Train and mentor new stewards.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
