About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleanliness and organization of all back-of-house Food and Beverage and kitchen areas, maintaining dishwashing-supply inventory, and assisting with inventory of china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen supplies. The role operates in a working kitchen environment, including the restaurant and meeting spaces, and occasionally outdoors; some office or clerical work may also be required. The environment can be loud and may involve hazards such as cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. The position requires workdays longer than eight hours, evening and weekend work, and working within established timelines. Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation, safety, and dish care.

Responsibilities

• Clean back-of-house Food and Beverage areas to support high-quality, efficient operations.
• Coordinate with chefs regarding equipment needs for banquets.
• Clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen areas according to standard operating procedures.
• Remove trash from all areas.
• Deliver dishes, silverware, and china to the appropriate areas.
• Sanitize all kitchen areas.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen.
• Maintain inventory of dishwashing supplies and assist with inventory of china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen supplies.
