About The Position
Senior Health Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated part-time therapist to provide mental health services to adults and seniors in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The therapist provides counseling and psychotherapy, conducts assessments, creates treatment plans, diagnoses using DSM-5 criteria, and coordinates resources and referrals. The role requires independent caseload management and accurate, timely clinical documentation while working across local facilities. The ideal candidate is adaptable, empathetic, organized, and effective in dynamic clinical settings, including when schedules change, sessions are interrupted, or private space is limited. The therapist collaborates with nursing and rehabilitation teams and builds rapport with clients. Reliable transportation is required for travel between local facilities in Lindon, Orem, Provo, and Payson.
Requirements
- Master's degree and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, CMHC, LMFT, or equivalent; the qualifications section specifies a Utah license.
- At least 2 years of experience as a therapist.
- At least 2 years of experience with DSM-5 criteria.
- At least 2 years of experience in skilled nursing or assisted living.
- Proficiency with DSM-5 and treatment planning.
- Strong documentation and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and EHR systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
- Reliable transportation for travel between local facilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities

- Travel between local facilities in Lindon, Orem, Provo, and Payson.
