About The Position

Senior Health Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated part-time therapist to provide mental health services to adults and seniors in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The therapist will work across local facilities, including in the Lindon, Orem, Provo, and Payson areas, and will manage a caseload independently. The role calls for adaptability to changing facility conditions, resident health fluctuations, interdisciplinary needs, variable schedules, interruptions, and limited private spaces. The therapist will collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, self-motivated, organized, calm, and professional in dynamic settings; able to build rapport quickly and engage clients in meaningful therapy; and capable of managing time and documentation efficiently. Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required. Reliable transportation is required for travel between local facilities.

Requirements

• Master's degree and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, CMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a therapist.
• At least 2 years of experience with DSM-5 criteria.
• At least 2 years of experience in skilled nursing or assisted living.
• Utah LCSW, LPC, LCPC, CMHC, or LMFT license/certification.
• Proficiency with DSM-5 and treatment planning.
• Strong documentation and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and EHR systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
• Reliable transportation for travel between local facilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with geriatric populations is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
