About The Position

Senior Health Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, dedicated part-time therapist to provide mental health services to adults and seniors in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. The therapist provides individual counseling or psychotherapy, conducts intake assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, and diagnoses using DSM-5 criteria. The role also involves offering resources and referrals, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and independently managing a personal caseload. The ideal candidate adapts to changing facility conditions, fluctuations in residents’ health, and interdisciplinary needs. They are flexible and use creative problem-solving in response to variable schedules, session interruptions, and limited private spaces. The therapist communicates and collaborates with nursing and rehabilitation teams, stays calm and organized in dynamic settings, builds rapport with clients, and manages time and documentation independently. Travel between local facilities in Lindon, Orem, Provo, and Payson is required. Requirements

Master's degree and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, CMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
Two years of experience as a therapist.
Two years of experience with DSM-5 criteria.
Two years of experience in skilled nursing or assisted living.
Proficiency with treatment planning.
Strong documentation and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and EHR systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Reliable transportation for travel between local facilities.
