About The Position

Cardinal Bay, a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization, is seeking a full-time Dishwasher/Utility Worker at Carriage Inn Bryan. The role supports residents and community life by maintaining clean tableware, kitchenware, dishwashing equipment, and food preparation and production areas. The work includes a rotating schedule of three days on and three days off, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Holiday and weekend shifts are rotated.

Requirements

Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
Be or become an accredited food handler within 60 days, in accordance with state guidelines.
Ability to work for long periods in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments.
Great customer service attitude.
Ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to work independently or with others to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Willingness to undergo a routine background check.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and promptly report functional or mechanical problems.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
Keep the dish room clean and organized.
Maintain adequate clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul dish room trash to the dumpster at designated times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
