About The Position

The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and equipment. The position follows Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards and procedures, supports safe kitchen operations, and maintains a positive, professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers. Schedule: Sunday 7 a.m.–3 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Thursday 12 p.m.–8 p.m.; Friday 12 p.m.–8 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old or have a worker’s permit.
Must pass a state and federal background check and a drug test.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain sanitary conditions of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Safely and efficiently operate the dishwashing machine according to its procedure manual.
Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware from service.
Stock delivered food and non-food items.
Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
Deep-clean the kitchen and equipment.
Attend all training and in-service seminars.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Help maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe working practices.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
