About The Position

The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and equipment. The role also involves operating the dishwashing machine, stocking delivered items, removing damaged dishware from service, handling garbage and boxes, and deep cleaning the kitchen and equipment. The schedule is Sunday 7 a.m.–3 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Thursday 12 p.m.–8 p.m., Friday 12 p.m.–8 p.m., and Saturday 7 a.m.–3 p.m. The employee is expected to follow Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards, maintain a safe and sanitary workplace, attend training and in-service seminars, and interact positively and professionally with residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old or have a worker's permit.
Must pass a state and federal background check and a drug test.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain sanitary conditions for dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen according to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Safely and efficiently operate the dishwashing machine according to its procedure manual.
Ensure the proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware from service.
Stock delivered food and non-food items.
Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
Deep clean the kitchen and equipment.
Attend training and in-service seminars.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Help maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe work practices.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
