About The Position

The Utility Worker maintains clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen itself. The role involves operating the dishwashing machine, stocking delivered items, handling garbage and boxes, and deep cleaning kitchen areas and equipment. The employee is expected to follow Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, attend training and in-service seminars, and interact with residents, visitors, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or have a workers permit.
• Must pass a state and federal background check and a drug test.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary conditions for dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Safely and efficiently operate the dishwashing machine according to its procedure manual.
• Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
• Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware from service.
• Stock delivered food and non-food items.
• Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
• Deep clean the kitchen and equipment.
• Attend all training and in-service seminars.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Promote a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe work practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
