About The Position

The Dish Attendant supports Southside Market & Barbeque’s kitchen by maintaining clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and an organized dishwashing station. The role contributes to the company’s focus on premium-quality food, excellent customer service, and Texas-friendly hospitality. This is a part-time position in Austin, Texas.

Requirements

• Obtain a Food Handler Certificate before the first day of work.
• Listen, read, write, and speak English fluently for job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, then load them into racks for the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to the service line and designated storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
