About The Position

The Director, Transformation & Performance Management leads RJW’s highest-priority strategic initiatives, enterprise performance-management system, and operational change adoption across the Logistics network. Reporting to the VP Planning & Performance Management, the Director translates executive priorities into initiatives that are implemented, adopted, and measured, including major operating-process changes and deployments of automation, robotics, and AI. The role leads two direct reports and works with executive leadership, Operations, Technology, and Finance. Success is measured by financial and service benefits realized against approved business cases, timely delivery of initiative milestones, sustained process adoption 90 days after go-live, and the proportion of the network operating on the performance-management system. The role is hybrid, with regular presence at RJW facilities and headquarters. Remote and onsite time varies with initiative demands. The position requires time in warehouses, yards, docks, and other operational environments, and some travel between company locations.

  • Executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with credibility in operational and boardroom settings.
  • Ability to lead through influence across functions where outcomes depend on others.
  • Working knowledge of applying automation, advanced analytics, and AI in operating environments, including recognizing when they introduce risk rather than value.
  • Familiarity with warehousing, logistics, transportation, or supply chain is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Extend the performance-management system to all sites and standardize it as a repeatable program.
  • Own change adoption through a direct report, including SOP currency, training design, cutover and parallel-run readiness, and post-go-live adoption measurement.
  • Ensure initiatives meet adoption targets before closure and correct course when they do not.
  • Lead evaluation and deployment of technology solutions, from opportunity assessment and business case through vendor selection, solution design, go-live, and post-implementation ROI review, in partnership with Technology, Operations, and Finance.
  • Identify opportunities for AI and advanced analytics to create measurable operational value and lead pilots.
  • Prepare strategic-planning and board-level materials for the executive team.
  • Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, including goal setting, documentation, and mid-year and annual reviews.
