About The Position

Capital One is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead technical programs that deliver critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms for the Global Payment Network (GPN). GPN Technology manages critical payments infrastructure for high-throughput, secure global transaction processing. Its TPM teams use technical acumen and systems thinking to guide architectural alignment, technical strategy, and execution; improve scalability and resilience; and manage complex technical dependencies, cross-functional engineering roadmaps, and delivery of global financial infrastructure. The Director will also help expand the TPM discipline within the team by sharing industry knowledge and teaching the organization what effective TPM can achieve. The role contributes to TPM and delivery strategy, establishes scalable operating mechanisms, maturity models, and tooling, and drives program roadmaps grounded in business objectives, technical solutions, definitions of done, and dependency sequencing. It leads cross-platform investment planning and architectural alignment toward platform convergence and reuse, serves as an executive-level escalation point for risks and tradeoffs, and ensures measurable platform outcomes and delivery accountability across engineering teams.
