About The Position

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in commercial insurance account management and sales.
  • Level 2 General Insurance License and willingness to get Level 3.
  • Expertise in commercial insurance with advanced technical skills.
  • Passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with Small Business Advisors.
  • Excels in leading by example, problem-solving, planning, and employing both critical and creative thinking.
  • Excels in leading teams to successfully execute organizational objectives, sales, and service goals.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to explain complex information clearly and simply.
  • Ability to build authentic relationships and cultivate strong connections with insurance markets.
  • Master time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality and discretion.
  • Adaptability to pivot when priorities change throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience is preferable.
  • One of the CAIB, CIP, FCIP, and CRM designations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of commercial lines Business Advisors, providing oversight, driving performance, and ensuring adherence to growth processes.
  • Work with the team to support client retention and deliver necessary account services.
  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure high-quality submissions to markets.
  • Work closely with industry partners to deliver the best insurance solutions for clients.
  • Engage with clients, prospects, and insurance partners to support Business Advisors in delivering exceptional service.
  • Set individual goals, provide consistent performance coaching, feedback, and identify and develop internal talent for future commercial segment roles.
  • Leverage software and applications to manage and convert leads.
  • Maintain curiosity to stay at the forefront of the insurance industry.
  • Travel as necessary.
