About the position
As a Director of Real World Data at Aetion, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating various data sources for scientific purposes, such as Electronic Medical Records and clinical registries. Your responsibilities will include developing frameworks to identify the best-fit datasets for different use cases, advising internal teams on data opportunities, and collaborating with clients to determine the most suitable datasets for their research questions. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating data strategy and priorities to leadership and facilitating the deployment of new data sources through collaboration with external partners and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop internal and external frameworks to assess datasets and identify best-fit for various use cases, incl. geographical, regulatory specifics
- Work closely with the internal data strategy team to advise on data opportunities; identify and prioritize prospective data partners in alignment with Aetion’s data strategy
- Advise in-/external stakeholders on best datasets for therapeutic areas and analytic solutions; lead the effort to validate and assess datasets with key internal constituents, and determine key research questions that can be addressed by specific data sources
- In collaboration with internal relationship owners, advise clients on datasets best-fit for their research questions; work collaboratively with Aetion new and prospective customers to understand data needs and requirements
- Communicate with leadership and key internal constituents on data strategy and priorities
- Liaise between external data partners and internal sales, delivery, product and engineering teams to deploy new data sources
- Negotiate and execute data contracts
Requirements
- 7+ years of operational or management consulting experience using real-world data
- Deep scientific assessment of data sources such as Electronic Medical Records, claims, clinical registries
- Ability to develop frameworks to assess datasets and identify best-fit for various use cases
- Knowledge of geographical and regulatory specifics related to datasets
- Experience in advising on data opportunities and prioritizing prospective data partners
- Ability to advise stakeholders on best datasets for therapeutic areas and analytic solutions
- Proficiency in validating and assessing datasets with key internal constituents
- Strong communication skills to liaise between external data partners and internal teams
- Negotiation and execution of data contracts

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to self-motivate and lead others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with senior executives and customers
