Director, QA

The job overview for this position is that Huge is seeking a QA Director to join their technology team. The QA Director will be responsible for understanding client business challenges, designing transformative experiences, and identifying testing solutions. They will advise clients on Quality Assurance tasks and roadmaps, lead teams, and implement delivery approaches based on Lean and Agile principles. Advise clients on Quality Assurance tasks and roadmaps

Identify and own organic business development across dedicated accounts

Lead teams and help implement delivery approaches based on Lean and Agile principles

Be intimately involved in a project's performance and on-time, successful delivery

Analyze customer needs, new requests, and issues

Prepare strategic testing plans to facilitate client satisfaction, organic growth, and speed to market

Measure QA team performance

Participate in portfolio planning and resource allocation

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure QA vision, execution, expectations, and needs are understood and implemented correctly

Identify and mitigate risks

Lead a team of 10-15 people through a successful multi-month technical delivery process

Partner with creative and business teams to bring transformative ideas to reality

Continuously learn and stay updated on emerging and evolving technology trends

Estimate work and staffing to satisfy client budgetary requirements

Evolve the QA practice and playbook through thought leadership

Coach and transform a diverse and talented team into a high-performing delivery machine

• +5 years of experience in a leadership role with a QA team
• Strong technical skills in functional and non-functional testing, manual and automation testing
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Expertise in risk identification, management, mitigation, and risk-based testing tasks
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of 10-15 people through a successful multi-month technical delivery process
• Ability to partner with creative and business teams to bring transformative ideas to reality
• Continuous learning and passion for emerging and evolving technology trends
• Ability to estimate work and staffing and strategize to meet client budgetary requirements
