Director, Portfolio Product Marketing

CrusoeSeattle, WA
$240,000 - $270,000

About The Position

Crusoe is seeking a Director, Portfolio Product Marketing to synthesize product-line messaging into a coherent portfolio story and translate that story into plays, training, and competitive frameworks for the sales field. This role acts as the connective tissue between product marketing and revenue enablement, owning the sales narrative, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market motion across the entire portfolio. The ideal candidate will translate a dense technical roadmap into a compelling narrative that sellers can effectively communicate to customers throughout their journey, arming them with the strategies to overcome objections.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product marketing, ideally in cloud infrastructure, AI, or machine learning.
  • Technical depth in AI/ML infrastructure: understanding of training vs. inference workloads, factors affecting inference stack speed/cost, and customer evaluation of compute.
  • Working knowledge of the competitive landscape: hyperscalers, neoclouds, managed inference providers, and the buy-vs-build calculus.
  • Fluency with sales messaging frameworks; Command of the Message strongly preferred.
  • Proven storytelling ability: translating technical concepts into easily repeatable narratives for non-technical sellers.
  • Real understanding of enterprise sales: pipeline stages, MEDDIC-style qualification, first-call dynamics, and reasons for enablement content underutilization.
  • Ability to work across a bench of product-line PMMs: synthesizing their work and maintaining a portfolio view.
  • Experience building content that sellers voluntarily reuse.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at an infrastructure, semiconductor, or AI platform company.
  • Background as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or technical seller.
  • Comfort with data tooling to build TCO models that survive customer scrutiny.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary SME for building sales plays for new products and features, synthesizing across product lines into a single motion the field can run.
  • Translate product-line MRDs into sales-facing playbook components and launch guidance.
  • Partner with Product and product-line PMMs on launch calendars, ensuring Revenue Enablement gets months of lead time.
  • Translate early-access and preview learnings into targeting guidance and field-ready talk tracks.
  • Synthesize product-line messaging into a portfolio-level sales narrative using Command of the Message (Force Management), keeping the cross-product story coherent and differentiated.
  • Own the sales narrative for the First Call Deck, ensuring it is conversational and engaging.
  • Build modular slide libraries so reps can tailor content by persona, segment, and use case without going off-message.
  • Build curriculum components for new-hire onboarding and ongoing field education.
  • Build and deliver training with Product for Field Forum; help plan the calendar around launches.
  • Run train-the-trainer sessions with the Revenue Enablement team.
  • Review enablement-created content for technical accuracy before it reaches the field.
  • Maintain competitive battlecards using one consistent framework.
  • Keep the competitive matrix current across hyperscalers, neoclouds, and managed inference providers.
  • Publish digestible analyst and industry updates with FAQs and "what to say" guidance.
  • Keep ICP definitions current and help sellers identify and qualify new ICP targets.
  • Produce one-pagers and datasheets for every product, ready to send.
  • Create customer stories, each with a single business-impact slide reps can drop into any deck.
  • Develop infographics, top-ten lists, and short attention-grabbing assets for outreach and LinkedIn.
  • Build ROI/TCO calculators and other decision-support tools for sales.
  • Restructure and maintain content repositories so blogs, ungated content, and decks are discoverable.
  • Enforce version hygiene: one source of truth per asset, visible last-updated dates.
