About The Position

The Director of Training and Quality leads the hotel’s training and professional development function at Conrad New York Downtown. The role oversees the development and implementation of hotel and corporate training programs and the annual training calendar, aligning them with corporate goals and industry standards. It partners with department managers, property trainers, and team members to assess performance trends, identify training needs, and create plans that support department goals. The position evaluates training outcomes and improves programs, oversees training-record compliance, and promotes team engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and implementation of hotel and corporate training and professional development programs and the annual training calendar, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry standards.
• Lead strategic meetings with department managers, property trainers, and team members to review performance trends, identify training needs, and develop action plans supporting department goals.
• Measure learning outcomes, assess training program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement to ensure measurable value.
• Oversee tracking, maintenance, and auditing of team member training records to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Drive team engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs.
