About The Position

Metro Elevator is an independent elevator company providing maintenance, repair, modernization, and new installation solutions to commercial customers throughout Central Texas. We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead the Central Texas sales organization and drive sustainable, profitable growth. This position owns the sales strategy, revenue pipeline, customer acquisition and retention, sales team development, forecasting, and overall sales performance of the division. The Director of Sales will work closely with the President, Vice President, Operations, Service, Modernization, and Marketing teams to ensure sales commitments are commercially sound, operationally achievable, and aligned with Metro Elevator's commitment to an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of successful B2B sales experience with a demonstrated record of achieving revenue objectives.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and business-development experience.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, financial, and business-development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline and accurately forecast results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Highly self-motivated, competitive, accountable, and results-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Central Texas market.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial real estate, construction, facilities management, property management, industrial, or related B2B markets preferred.
  • Elevator industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly sales strategies and goals.
  • Drive growth across maintenance, billable repair, modernization, and new installation opportunities.
  • Build a predictable sales pipeline and achieve revenue and gross-margin objectives.
  • Maintain pricing discipline and ensure growth is profitable and sustainable, not simply revenue-driven.
  • Lead disciplined prospecting and business-development efforts targeting building owners, property managers, developers, general contractors, and other commercial accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategies to win competitive maintenance takeovers and convert customers from other elevator providers.
  • Personally participate in major presentations, negotiations, and strategic opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers throughout the Central Texas market.
  • Grow and retain Metro Elevator's recurring maintenance portfolio.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key customers and identify opportunities to expand relationships.
  • Increase account penetration by identifying additional maintenance, repair, modernization, and installation opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Monitor contract renewals, customer satisfaction, competitive threats, and retention risks.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish clear goals, activity standards, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, pipeline reviews, and sales training.
  • Build a sales talent pipeline and succession plan to support the division's future growth.
  • Establish disciplined CRM practices and accurate opportunity tracking.
  • Maintain visibility into pipeline value, stages, expected close dates, win rates, and next actions.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting to division leadership.
  • Track and manage key sales KPIs including maintenance growth, modernization pipeline, repair sales, new customers, retention, revenue, gross margin, and forecast accuracy.
  • Establish a consistent process for transitioning new contracts, repairs, and modernization projects from Sales to Operations.
  • Ensure scope, pricing, customer expectations, commitments, and commercial terms are clearly communicated before handoff.
  • Partner with Operations to identify and resolve issues that could impact customer satisfaction, profitability, or execution.
  • Monitor competitors, construction activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing to generate qualified leads and strengthen Metro Elevator's market presence.
  • Represent Metro Elevator at customer meetings, industry events, networking opportunities, and community activities.
  • Clearly communicate Metro Elevator's independent-company advantage and differentiated customer experience.
