About The Position

SHYAS Health is seeking an experienced Director of Quality & Training to oversee organizational quality assurance, employee training, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position helps ensure employees are properly trained, documentation meets applicable standards, and organizational practices align with North Carolina behavioral health and Medicaid requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant healthcare, behavioral health, quality assurance, compliance, or training experience.
• Knowledge of North Carolina Medicaid, behavioral health regulations, and documentation requirements.
• Experience with staff training, internal audits, and learning management systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality assurance activities, internal audits, and corrective action plans.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, training, and professional development.
• Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and conducting Blue Book training as needed.
• Ensure new hires are entered into all required training systems within one business day of receiving complete onboarding information.
• Monitor employee training completion, certifications, and compliance deadlines.
• Review clinical documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and organizational quality standards.
• Maintain accurate training records and provide monthly quality and training reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Clinical Leadership, and Program Managers to improve staff performance and service quality.
