About The Position

Sigma is seeking a Director of Product Marketing for AI to own the positioning and go-to-market strategy for Sigma's AI narrative and capabilities. This role will focus on natural language exploration, agentic workflows, and AI-powered application building. It's a high-visibility, high-impact position at the intersection of product, sales, and the market, responsible for translating the AI roadmap into compelling messaging for various stakeholders and helping Sigma win in the AI category. The company is an AI Apps and agentic analytics platform built on cloud data warehouses, enabling businesses to explore live data, build intelligent applications, and automate workflows without moving data or compromising governance. Sigma supports a spreadsheet interface, SQL, Python, and native AI in a single governed workspace.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product marketing experience: driving product launches, building competitive differentiation, enabling sales teams to win, and shaping go-to-market strategy from concept to execution.
  • Fluency in the enterprise AI landscape: large language models, agentic AI, AI infrastructure, and the evolving ecosystem of AI tools and platforms.
  • A proven track record of developing product positioning and messaging that resonates with technical audiences and accelerates revenue in competitive markets.
  • Experience partnering closely with product management and engineering to understand and shape roadmap strategy through market and customer insight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complex AI concepts.
  • A data-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to measure the impact of PMM programs on pipeline and win rates.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in AI products, cloud data platforms, business intelligence, or analytics software space is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own Sigma's AI product positioning and messaging, including core value propositions, competitive differentiation, and persona-specific narratives.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to understand and influence Sigma's AI capabilities and roadmap.
  • Lead product launches for AI features and capabilities, coordinating across marketing, sales, customer success, and partnerships.
  • Partner with sales leadership and frontline reps to understand AI deal dynamics, competitive objections, and messaging gaps, incorporating learnings into improved positioning, content, and enablement.
  • Partner with the Enablement team to build and maintain sales enablement materials such as pitch decks, battlecards, demos, and objection-handling guides.
  • Develop thought leadership content and market education programs to shape industry perspectives on building with AI on enterprise data.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence and market analysis to ensure Sigma's AI messaging is sharp and defensible.
  • Serve as a Sigma expert and external spokesperson for Sigma's AI strategy and vision.
