Director of Outpatient Services- Yampa Valley
About The Position
The Director of Outpatient Services provides clinical and operational leadership for Health Solutions West’s outpatient behavioral health services. The Director ensures services are accessible, high quality, person-centered, and responsive to the needs of the individuals and communities served. As a member of the Clinical Services leadership team, the Director develops and supports program leaders, strengthens coordination across services, and aligns outpatient operations with the organization’s mission, strategic priorities, clinical standards, and goals. The position is based in Craig and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Onsite salaried employees receive a location-based cost-of-living adjustment; telehealth employees are not eligible. The role requires a master’s degree in a behavioral health field, current Colorado behavioral health licensure, and at least five years of behavioral health services experience. The employee must already be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is unavailable.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Colorado behavioral health licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Minimum of five years of experience in behavioral health services.
- Knowledge of outpatient behavioral health services, clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to develop staff, establish expectations, manage performance, and promote accountability.
- Ability to use clinical and operational data to evaluate performance and support teams in achieving program and organizational goals.
- Strong critical-thinking, decision-making, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, collaborate across programs and disciplines, work independently, take initiative, and delegate effectively.
- Ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard office technology.
- Must already be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

- Experience providing or overseeing outpatient mental health and/or substance use services.
