About The Position

The Director of Nursing at Brookdale leads and manages the clinical team’s overall operation to provide high-quality care and services to residents. The role builds relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate personalized care, collaborates with community leadership, mentors and engages associates, and supports resident and family satisfaction. The position manages day-to-day clinical services in a more complex community, ensuring residents’ healthcare needs are met and that they are treated with respect and dignity as their needs change. It supervises, leads, and coaches licensed nurses and other direct care staff, and may lead an additional clinical leadership team of up to five members. The Health & Wellness Director level is based on community and role complexity, including factors such as size, product lines, medication-management regulations, assessment requirements, licensure requirements, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN. Brookdale provides Nurse Leaders with a structured six-week orientation, online resources, local nurse mentors, ongoing collaborative support, tuition reimbursement, and access to a network of communities that may support relocation. The role offers career-development opportunities and, for full-time associates in the role, eligibility for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses.
