About The Position

LaurelHurst and LaurelWoods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Columbus, North Carolina, is seeking a Wellness Director/Director of Nursing for its independent living, assisted living, and memory care community. The role oversees resident care and health-related services, ensures compliance with applicable regulations and community policies, and builds working relationships with health care professionals and residents’ providers. The position may be filled by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Requirements

Be a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse.
Have at least three to five years of in-home health or geriatric nursing experience in a similar position.
Have at least two to four years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure implementation of policies and procedures relating to resident care and oversee health-related services.
Manage, coordinate, and direct activities in accordance with state and applicable federal regulations and community policies and procedures.
Establish working relationships with health care professionals in the community, including residents’ health care providers.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
