About The Position

As Director of Nursing at Brookdale, you will lead and manage the clinical team’s overall operation to provide high-quality care and services to residents. You will build relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate personalized care; collaborate with community leadership; mentor and engage associates; and support resident and family satisfaction. The role manages day-to-day clinical services in a more complex community, ensuring residents’ healthcare needs are met, they are treated with respect and dignity, and care adapts as their needs change. The Director of Nursing supervises, leads, and coaches licensed nurses and other direct care staff, and may lead an additional clinical leadership team of up to five members. The level of role complexity is determined by factors including community size, product lines, medication-management regulations, assessment requirements, licensure requirements, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN. Brookdale provides Nurse Leaders with a structured six-week orientation, online resources, local nurse mentors, and ongoing collaborative support. The organization also offers tuition reimbursement and access to a network of communities across 40 states.
