RN/LPN Assisted Living Director of Memory Care
About The Position
The Director of Memory Care develops, coordinates, implements, and oversees programs and services for the memory care unit. The program aims to meet residents’ basic psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting quality of life in a nurturing environment. The role supervises the unit’s daily operation, conducts pre-move-in assessments as needed in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and/or Sales and Marketing Director, and initiates and updates resident care plans every six months or as needed. The Director also coordinates and participates in care plan meetings. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed nurse.
- A strong understanding of activities; the professional must have completed a state-approved training course.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- At least one year of experience specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia in a residential setting.
- A strong clinical background.
Responsibilities

- Initiate and update each resident’s plan of care every six months, revising care plans as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in care plan meetings.
