About The Position
Aster Place Assisted Living Memory Care is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time night-shift role. The nurse builds meaningful relationships with residents and staff by learning their life stories and uses nursing skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being. The role supports a comforting, engaging atmosphere and works collaboratively with nursing and facility teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. The LPN is expected to promote teamwork, communicate effectively, and demonstrate the C.A.R.E. values of Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
Requirements
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
- Proficient medication management skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident condition.
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work toward a common goal of excellent resident care.
- Demonstrate Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
- Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
- Collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
- Manage medications proficiently.
- Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values when interacting with residents, family members, customers, and staff.
- Support a respectful and positive work environment through effective interpersonal communication.
