About The Position

Nitra is hiring a Director of Marketplace to own the go-to-market and operating functions of NitraMart, including sales, account management, vendor relationships, and marketplace operations. The role is responsible for finding opportunities to grow the business, improving service for customers and vendors, and establishing scalable processes as the marketplace expands. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role for someone with healthcare commerce experience and a record of building and scaling a business or function from the ground up. The Director will work closely with company leadership and the partnerships, product, and engineering teams to identify gaps, improve workflows, and move manual processes toward automation. The role calls for an operator who can take ownership of a complex business, work through ambiguity, and build the processes and team needed to support continued growth. Nitra maintains a hybrid work policy: team members work from the office four days per week, with Wednesdays designated as a work-from-home day. The base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000–$220,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual compensation depends on work location and job-related skills, experience, education, and training.

  • A track record of building, launching, or scaling a new business, function, or operating model, including solving problems where established processes did not exist.
  • Strong process-building skills, including the ability to identify inefficiencies, establish workflows, and improve execution across a complex operation.
  • Comfort using analytics to evaluate business performance, merchandising and pricing dynamics, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Interest in modernizing legacy healthcare workflows and partnering with product and engineering teams to build technology-enabled operations.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, setting direction while staying close to implementation details.
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability, and willingness to take ownership in a fast-moving startup environment.
