About The Position

The Director of Marketplace will own the go-to-market and operating functions of NitraMart, overseeing sales, account management, vendor relationships, and marketplace operations. The role is responsible for identifying opportunities to grow the business, improving service to customers and collaboration with vendors, and building scalable processes as the marketplace expands. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role for someone with healthcare commerce experience and a record of building and scaling a business or function from the ground up. The Director will work closely with leadership and the partnerships, product, and engineering teams to identify gaps, improve workflows, and automate manual processes. The role requires ownership of a complex business, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to build the processes and team needed to support continued growth.

Requirements

  • Experience spanning sales, account management, and operations, including growing a business while building the infrastructure to support that growth.
  • A track record of building, launching, or scaling a new business, function, or operating model, including solving problems in ambiguous environments without established processes.
  • Strong process-building skills and the ability to identify inefficiencies, establish workflows, and improve execution across a complex operation.
  • Ability to work with analytics and use data to evaluate business performance, merchandising and pricing dynamics, and improvement opportunities.
  • Interest in modernizing legacy healthcare workflows and partnering with product and engineering teams to build efficient, technology-enabled operations.
  • Hands-on leadership ability, with the capacity to set direction while staying close to execution details.
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability, and comfort taking ownership in a fast-moving startup environment.
