About The Position

Aviata Health Group is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead the Maintenance Department at its community in Pompano Beach, Florida. The role plans, organizes, develops, and directs department operations in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Its purpose is to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. The company is looking for a resident- and family-focused team builder who is excited to help build a facility culture and improve systems and processes.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance- or plant-related position.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.

Nice To Haves

• A secondary degree from an accredited vocational or technical school.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan that identifies specific tasks and completion time frames.
• Establish an equipment and utilities management program.
• Hire, train, and supervise enough maintenance technicians to ensure assigned tasks are addressed effectively.
• Participate in regular facility safety inspection tours and ensure that findings are documented.
• Provide facility-wide training on safety issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building grounds.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
• Develop and implement innovative ideas and concepts to continually improve systems and processes and achieve superior results.
