About The Position

The Director of Loss Prevention will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets. Through proactive leadership, strategic planning, and responsive action, you'll help reduce risk, resolve conflicts, and uphold the integrity of operations. Requirements

• Strong ability to lead daily security operations while implementing emergency procedures and long-term safety protocols.
• Investigates incidents thoroughly and recommends actionable solutions to mitigate risks and prevent future losses.
• Skilled in handling complaints, resolving grievances, and facilitating dispute resolution in a calm, professional manner.
• Minimum of 4 years in security, loss prevention, or a related professional area, ideally within a hospitality or high-traffic environment.
• Proven experience in: Overseeing the deployment of security personnel and resources.
• Proven experience in: Leading emergency response planning and implementation.
• Proven experience in: Investigating incidents and reporting findings to senior leadership.
• Proven experience in: Conducting risk assessments and identifying safety hazards.
• Proven experience in: Attending operational meetings to anticipate security needs tied to group and event activity.
• Proven experience in: Managing claims and incident documentation in coordination with claims services.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing Security/Loss Prevention Operations
• Development and implementation of emergency procedures.
• Conducts investigation of all losses of property assets and refers to proper management for disposition.
• Deploys security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.
• Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
• Identifies and makes recommendations for minimizing physical hazards and unsafe work practices.
• Provides means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.
• Attends pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to understand group needs and gather critical information to communicate to Loss Prevention officers.
• Communicates the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.
• Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Informs and/or updates the executives, peers and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
• Assists in minimizing cost of accident claims through aggressive claims management.
• Completes proper documentation and reports all employee accident and general liability incidents to Claims Reporting Service
• Other duties as assigned
