About The Position

Jungle Jim’s Loss Prevention team helps maintain a safe shopping and event environment across a large, busy, mall-like retail setting. The department uses state-of-the-art equipment and works with store management and law enforcement to help protect consumers, inventory, time, and company assets. The role suits someone who is detail-oriented, team-focused, and comfortable in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Some experience with retail loss prevention or asset protection.
• Be able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours at a time.
• Schedule may entail nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to travel between both stores.
• Must pass a required criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Two or three professional references preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.
• Basic filing and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office programs.
• Knowledge of perishables, product rotation, and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reducing the loss of inventory, time, and assets.
• Carry out responsibilities with integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
• Address shoplifters professionally.
• Work on the floor alongside staff to set an example, promote a positive environment, and stay in touch with employees and customers.
• Supervise day-to-day operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
